NARRATIVE
The purpose
of
the following study
is
to
determine monthly wsts and investments for
a
dark fiber in loop and transport applications.
Both
applications use
a
24
fiber cable
as an average size fiber cable and provide a tenination
on
a Fiber Distribution Panel
on
both ends
of
the fiber. The cost
of
the dark fiber
for
the loop application uses an average business loop length
of
13799
feet, includes the
Cost
of
a fiber distribution panel and does
not
include regeneration
costs.
The
cost
of
the dark fiber for the transport application is
on
a per mile basis with
no
regeneration costs. The terminations
on
the fiber distribution panel are wsted as a separate
element
on
the transport application.
